All About Us!
Since eing formed in April of 1998 by four members of the Northland Barbershop Chorus in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, these four gentlemen have been delighting audiences in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and the surrounding area. Among our favorite places to sing are Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Church Services, private birthday and anniversary parties and weddings.
Bruce Clarida:
Bruce sings lead in the quartet and has been involved in music from a very young age. Bruce is also active as a banjo player/vocalist with the Great Lakes Blue Grass Band. Bruce is currently employed as an Engineer with Great Lakes Power in Sault Ste. Marie.
Loyal Beggs
Loyal is the Tenor in the group, and brings to Good Intentions a great deal of formal musical background. Loyal studied music at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario and has been writing music and directing choirs and choruses for a number of years. Loyal and his wife Sara are also accomplished vocal soloists. Loyal presently works with his father at the Beggs Funeral Home in Thessalon as a liscensed funeral director.
Sean McMurray
Sean is the baritone and like the other three members of the group is active with the Northland Barbershop Chorus aswell as his Church Choir. Sean is an Ecologist with the Ministry of Natural Resourses.
Graham MacHattie
Graham is the bass, and the older, wiser member of the group who keeps the rest of us in line. Formerly a member of the Choir of St Andrews United Church in Sault Ste. Marie, Graham remains an active member of the Northland Barbershop Chorus. Graham is retired from The Algoma Steel Corporation.
As mentioned previously, we are all proud members of the Northland Barbershop Chorus, and heres a look at the chorus:
